[All] Sky Vega goes head-to-head with I-phone4

The ambitious Sky 'Vega' smart phone, which raised much interest over its nickname 'Sirius Alpha' since before its official launch, has been finally unveiled.
Sky (www.isky.co.kr, Vice Chairman Park Byeong-yeop) announced plans for Sky to become a leader in 4G smart phones with the release of 'Vega (IM-A650S)' in July, which boasts Sky's own sensible aesthetics along with top specifications and newly developed features.
The third smart phone from Sky, 'Vega' is the fastest, best looking, lightest, and has the most user friendly design from among existing smart phones on the market. It is expected to secure its place as the world's best product.
First of all, 'Vega' is loaded with the Android 2.1 OS and the Qualcomm Snap Dragon 1GHz processor, which guarantees the fastest and most perfect execution of functions. Furthermore, as a smart phone which integrates the world's newest technology, it is designed to optimize and enable the use of all of the more open Google functions.
For instance, Sky included in its first smart phone 'Sirius' the Flash function which provides an internet surfing environment identical to that of a PC, and has enjoyed sensational popularity among users. It was also the world's first smart phone to incorporate a Pre-Load T-Cash function, which opened the age of making payments with just your phone regardless of when and where you are.
In addition, the world's first 3D Real Home is only available through 'Vega'. In constrast with existing 2D icons, the display now has a more 3-dimentional effect through 3D widgets, including an album, neon sign, clock, world time, voice recorder, weather, etc. which respond to touch so that users can more freely construct their personal space.
Secondly, even in terms of the overall design, 'Vega' is the best looking. Design aesthetics were applied to 'Vega' with the concept that a smart phone should not look like a mere mechanical instrument. Escaping from the ordinary smart phone's round shape, it accentuated a square but at the same time taking a soft and compact image, and a thin vertical silver-colored hair line on the lower front of the cell phone to give it a refined smart phone image as well as the best grip.
Thirdly, because a smart phone is not only an Intelligent Mobile Device but is also always carried by the user on their person 'Vega' was designed to have the lightest weight possible. It not only has a bright and large 3.7 inch AMOLED screen but weighing just 114g it is also the lightest smart phone released so far; that is a chocolate bar (23g) lighter than the iPhone 4, maximizing its portability.
Fourthly, 'Vega' has the most user friendly design under the premise that a Mobile Device which is a means of communication with the world, should above all be suitable for the user. It emphasizes the sensual interaction with a user such as sense of touch in the grip of the phone. For the best grip, the back cover was designed to fit into the curves of the inside of a palm. In particular, it has an ergonomic design that eliminates discomfort by taking into account that the average length of a Korean's thumb is 6cm.
In terms of usability, a 'Capacitive' display which enables multi-touch is applied for a faster touch response and feedback. On the side, a hardware Search Key has been added for an easy and quick Google search service. Also, a 3.5 pi earphone jack and Q Sound for users who often use multimedia features such as music is featured to enable them to enjoy a rich sound according to their personal taste.
Thus, by combining the best hardware specifications from among existing smart phones with newly developed software functions, 'Vega' will surely provide a new experience never provided before by any other smart phone so far. In addition, Sky is confident that this will become the new leading 4G smart phone in the ‘Ubiquitous era’ which requires a perfect network and mobility, by providing the most optimized user environment.
Vice Chairman Park announced that, "in an era when man and Intelligent Mobile Devices are one, 'Vega' is a product made by a company that has the best technical skills, but has abandoned technological stubbornness in order to actively reflect customer demands. Sky will continuously give the highest priority to consumer opinion and developing products based on this." Then he emphasized, "I'm certain that 'Vega' is the most user friendly out of all the smart phones, and it will be an Intelligent Mobile Device that is most suitable for people."
'Vega' takes its name from the third planet following 'Sirius (IM-A600S)' and 'Izar (IM-A603K)' in the universe themed 'Androian Campaign', which features the power of the universe. It is also the second heaviest star in the Cetus asteroid belt and the brightest star in summer, while at the same time Vega derives from the Vega Star in the East, and means 'Descending Eagle' in Arabic. It also means 『King of the skies who sees far as he flies high, and has a wide view and excellent sensory intuition』.
In other words this means like an eagle that descends swiftly and quickly like a lightning bolt while hunting and is the metaphor that Sky will show its will to overpower and dominate competitors. Through 'Vega', Sky shows the strong commitment to restore their dominance in the Korean smart phone market which was lost to foreign brands.
'Vega' is being released in 4 colors: Black, White, Pink, and Gold Brown. The black will be released in July and the remaining colors will successively be released starting in August through SKT.
