Pantech Group to Launch Latin Music Phone in Mexico Market
- Supplies C510 Handset with the Latest Pieces of Music of Mexico Popular “RBD” to TELCEL

 Pantech Group (www.pantech.co.kr, CEO, Byeong-Yeop, Park) has a new model of music phone Pantech C510 stored the latest pieces of music and music video of RBD, the popular group in Mexico unveiled via TELCEL, the largest mobile telecommunication operator in Mexico.
 
 Pantech Group and Telcel announced launching of the handset on launching event at a music club, “Rain Club” located in the main street of Mexico City on the 7th day of this month, where the main directors and employees of the two companies, such as managing director, Seong-Jae Lim, director of overseas marketing main office, Pantech Group and Sub Director, Leonel Shoefecker, Telcel and eighty foreign news reporters attended.
 
 RBD is a six people mixed voice group from Mexico who have won explosive popularity in Mexico, Spanish speaking countries in Central and South America and Brazil. They won the award of Latin Pop Album of the Year, Duo Or Group and Top Latin Albums Artist of the Year in 2007’ Billboard Latin Music Award. Pantech C510 has three latest pieces of music of RBD and one clip of music video and wall paper stored. Pantech C510, regarded by people as being best suited to Latin culture, has attracted public attention from its very beginning and it’s expected that it will lead a new wave of handset in Central and South America.
 
 Pantech C510 handset has been largely strengthened in music features. With the handset, user can implement 5 modes of music in good sound quality, that is Common, Jazz, Pop, Classic and Rock using the equalizer built in the handset by which user can freely make control. This model of handset also provides 1GB external memory chip and supports external memory up to 2G and user can save and enjoy rich contents of music. And the pieces of music stored can be searched by album, singer and genre to facilitate user.
 
 Design of this handset is also optimized for music. Nothing superfluous, clean and simple metal folder design plus MP3 hot key provided on the front of handset allowing user to listen to music with the folder closed only by one-touch operation. Especially, loud original color of green, purple, blue and orange is with the handset very suited to Latin music to meet the taste of the customers in Latin culture countries.
 
 In addition, user can listen to stereo sound with a wireless earphone with Bluetooth function built in the handset. This handset also supports 130Mpixel camera, MPEG4 movies taking, games and other various multimedia functions.
 
 Seong-Jae Lim, managing director of overseas marketing main office, Pantech Group, said on the launching event: “Pantech C510 is a product created after in-depth analysis in local culture of Mexico, ” “and it’s expected that the product will be loved by Mexican passionate youngs liking loud colors ”
 
 Pantech Group is planned to promote marketing campaign with the slogan “Rebelate” that means rebellious. Pantech Group will also promote advertisement via TV CF, magazines and outdoor ads and formally sponsor RBD’s national tour concert in Mexico from this November through March of next year. It’s also planned that C510 will also be launched in Argentina to push into music phone market in Central and South America.
 
 Pantech Group is expanding its market share with close relation with the operators by pushing into Mexican market in 2004. Argentine market in 2005, Chilean market in 2006. It will exercise its influence in the market by continuously launching music handset and 3G handset meeting the market and local customers.
